Along_the_Wire Mad_Cyril I quite like playing vinyl. Judging by the state of the tramps in the queue this morning, I’d say you’re off the mark
ScottBailey Along_the_Wire Judging by the state of the tramps in the queue this morning Homeless chique. Russell Brand is the pied piper.
Mad_Cyril Along_the_Wire I quite like playing vinyl. Fair enough. I wouldn’t call you new in though. Take a look at some of the Whoppers on My Analog Journal, playing an hour of Uzbekistani Skiffle though, and there’s more than a whiff
whatever Mad_Cyril As if you’re not first in line on a Sunday at your local artisan market to buy your weekly vegan, sourdough, low carb, fair trade baps.
Dubman Old-Dutch Was surprised an independent record shop was still going. Especially when vinyl sales especially in dance are probably fairly low. We had three independent record shops in my home town. They’ve all gone and all we have now is HMV.
Old-Dutch Dubman Think they were running on fumes at the end. Ticket sales for events basically keeping them above water
Along_the_Wire Mad_Cyril you’ve got it wrong MC. It’s mostly older people. Banquet Records in Kingston is also brilliant at keeping the local live scene going with two venues
Along_the_Wire Dubman This is just made up - whenever I go to a local record store, I’m the youngest in there. There’s no way people are buying records without a deck
Mad_Cyril Dubman I read somewhere that some of these pillocks don’t even own a record player. Sounds like bollocks
