Mad_Cyril But can remember seeing him at Cream 95/96 and being surprised at how much slower (than the usual Trade stuff) he played and built the set.

…Trade started at around 130bpm at 3am and went up from there, fucking mental.

Unbroken1 Carnage working Sundays in Clerkenwell and seeing everyone coming out in the morning.

Used to have breakfast at Trade occasionally, saw him there a few times. Was solid live, didn’t like his GU much though.

        Dan literally and figuratively. Matron.

          Taxi!
          Where to???
          Chariots!!!!

Dan MMB moment for our Zak.

Such a tune. Zero shame in Tokyo.

          He was an absolute diamond.

          RIP Tony.

Smallman1 No. They actually did a good fry up! And that’s not a euphemism either! Used to do Bagleys or the Cross, then end up at Trade for a catch up with everyone who’d been out. Good old days where you could reset after about 4 hours kip. Back at the lectures Monday morning fresh.

managed to see him quite a few times as some of may mates loved going to sundissential, gatecrasher and progress. even went to see him on my 21st at the gallery back to back with Taul Paul all night on the day princess Diana’s funeral.

one new years eve at gatecrasher he played the opening set before rocky and diesel and banged it out.

Christian he played the opening set before rocky and diesel and banged it out.

              …amazing set programming there! 🤣

Dan you’d had to be nuts to choose that hovel over the Cross

alistair I went there once and it was speed garage ….lasted two hours (decent flange count) but then nipped over the road and went Renaissance.

However when they gutted Bagleys and turned it into Canvas it was much better as was The Key.

alistair Don’t… When I was about 19 had an argument with my school mates over going to Bagley’s or The Cross. It was a fucking Renaissance night too. Guess where we ended up… Ariel 10 hour set or something. Fast forward about a year and their tastes had developed enough to realise their massive mistake. Should’ve dumped them. Ended up listening from afar in the chill out area outside

That Key club was great in it’s day …. saw some great sets from Sasha/Colin Favor/Joey Negro (not funky house)
