I think there is a balance to be struck but is unlikely to happen, I find it hard to fathom that people in my local town have to attend “warm rooms” made available by the council as they are unable to keep themselves warm at all due to the costs according to an article I read this week
How is this possible in 2025? But then if we need cheaper dirtier energy to provide for people what is the impact on future generations? This is hard to quantify but I think fundamentally we should have a duty to provide basic amenities at an affordable price for the people who need it presently. Probably isn’t a popular opinion
