I 100% agree but I’m framing all this in comparison to Trump. Thats how bad he is. Even the career politcal psychopaths are a better option right now beacsue at least they’re playing stalemate.

China ramped up their exercises around Taiwan after he antagonised them repeatedly , increasing the trade deficit with them in the process. The Chinese own a percentage of the US economy they are owed that much money. If Trump gets in it could push them eventually to invade Taiwan because he’s unpredicatable and will continue to antagonise.
The threads of the latest Israeli genocide also lead back to Trump when he went against all the advice of his Middle Eastern allies and declared Jerusalem the Capital, even moving the US embassy there. He claimed it as some sort of Dove moment for peace and a huge politcal victory (wtf). Hamas and Hezbollah thought differently and violence escalated almost overnight all over the region with the culmination of the attack back in October.
The stupid bastard pulled out of Syria and the war erupted again on the border with Turkey. Stupidly claiming “ISIS are defeated”. The SDF had no protection anymore and ended up running back to Asad and the Russians. The war now continues there and the region is totally unstable.
Therein lies the rub, his Russian handlers laid claim to huge parts of Syria, claiming gas and oil fields and strengthening Putin’s war machine which was gearing up for (cough) a war of their own.
The icing on the cake which has inflamed the area further was the killing of Qasem Soleimani which increased the Iranians input into the region by flooding Lebanon and the Houthis with arms.
A lot of what we’re seeing now has roots in Trump’s presidency. Objective reality is important. Not some game show where people sit and judge leaders on how they walk, talk or how funny they are. None of us want a devastating war that drags major powers even further into it, we all just want to continue taking bangers and listening to good tunes. Not only is Trump a real criminal scumbag, he’s a real danger to everything that hangs in the balance right now. Everyone sharing dumb soundbites of Biden stuttering when theres a real danger staring down everyone and people are letting him away with it. Fuck that.
