ArchimedesQ Yeah apparently some of these ceremonies go on for days. If I can’t figure out how to program it with some practice, I’ll likely try sampling instead. The basic rhythm is just a bass drum plus 2 or 3 mid-tom like drums providing the heart beat on ⅓, with a higher pitched drum that plays off beat around the 2/4. It’s just difficult to get the imperfections right without sampling.

I’ve been to many drum circles on Arambol beach in Goa. It usually starts before sunset and carrys on untill after dusk. Anyone can join in as as they have a drum. At first it very hypnotic but then builds throughout the session with fire dancers in the middle.
