benson After a heavy weekend last weekend I am now a week free of booze. Currently going through the very bored stage.
Dan I live over the road to a pub and it’s hellish. Some days are a fucking struggle to resist a pint and after five it’s a battle leaving there.
Along_the_Wire ScottBailey If at a restaurant that doesn’t do pints, fine Harvester? Fuck me, restaurants that sell pints are a massive swerve
ScottBailey Along_the_Wire comma might have been in the wrong place. I meant unless you’re in a restaurant (which typically only sells bottles)….
hugopal Along_the_Wire Fuck me, restaurants that sell pints are a massive swerve Did you mean to type “restaurants that don’t sell pints are a massive swerve”?
hugopal Along_the_Wire that’s a bit odd - I’ve been to a decent number of good Michelin-starred restaurants that have beer on tap.
hugopal Along_the_Wire Good for you, I haven’t. How many restaurants nowadays are there even which don’t have beer on tap?!
Smallman1 hugopal How many restaurants nowadays are there even which don’t have beer on tap?! Manteca yesterday didn’t. Hope that helps.
hugopal Along_the_Wire there aren’t many and those that do don’t serve it up in a pint glass. So you’re fine with places that serve pints of beer on tap but not in pint glasses? Do you call them up in advance before booking a table to check the shape of the vessel?
303abuser It’s almost impossible to find a proper pint here now. Order one and you get some 14 or 16 oz “sleeve” bullshit. Most places will serve Guinness in a pint glass, but even that’s starting to change.
