Along_the_Wire the no spinners baffles me when the pitches are so dry at the moment. the batting is either skittish shot playing or sub boycottian blocking - nothing much in between. Sibley is frankly unwatchable. if you bowl at 4th stump he cannot score so one end is always under control. he cant play with Burns - I’m not saying Jason Roy is the answer but someone who can put a bit of pressure on the bowlers must exist. Pope and Lawrence are like a much poorer version of Bell and Pieterson. Pope has the attributes but not the right mental approach - that lad who kept wicket was a bit of an embarrassment.
