    I hate to hammer the point, but Canada isn’t a good team. Peru should be down a man though, not a clue what the VAR official was looking at.

      I’m largely in agreement with your summation. Koné has played terribly. He was fantastic against France and so-so against Argentina.

      That was a clear red for the headbutt. I don’t understand how VAR let that slide. Peru should be down a man.

      I realize the 35 degree heat is a factor for us, but these guys are professional footballers and should be fit enough to play in this kind of heat. Peru are playing in the same heat.

      Seeing the AR go down due to the heat was concerning. I had shades of Ericksen going down at the last Euros. It’s never good to see that kind of thing.

          Seems my response that at Watford he still has 2 mediocre games for every very good one and that his floor level isn’t great may still be the case.

              hugopal I’ve never watched him play, so maybe he’s better for club, but he’s shockingly bad. Always too many touches before panicking and giving the ball away.

                          loopdokter He played well, had a few good crosses with no one in the box to receive them though. Keeper was solid too. Peru looked really bad, awful positioning, terrible on the ball, and bush league tackles all game.

                            Argentina vs. Chile has just started to get interesting after 75 minutes. Chile have decided to show up all of a sudden after Argentina have been dominating the game.

                            As a Canada fan Chile need to lose or draw.
