I live in Ryde, one of the only towns, along with Cowes and Yarmouth (both yacht-y, second home towns) on the island that still has the appearance of a traditional high street, there are a few more charity shops than the used to be. Newport the County Town is on its arse, with the high Street being over 50% charity/poundland type shops.
Everywhere is the same, lockdown was the death knell for the High St in general.
