          The level of donations and ‘lobbying’ that goes on for the US election campaign is insane. Are we into billions now for the Republicans and Democrats in this campaign thus far?

          I forget who it was now, but they had a brilliant idea that all corporate donations should be completely outlawed and every US Citizen should be given $100 to donate to whichever party they felt they want to support.

            Old-Dutch Take the lot and put it into cancer research. Better still, US, China, Russia, India, Saudi Arabia and Europe agree to one year of no military spending, and that two trillion or so goes into cancer research. I’m sure we could all limp on for 12 months with last years weapons of mass destruction.
