rhouses New season of Bellingcat has started. Terrifying as per. Brit host with the most soothing voice, but scaring the shit out of you with all sorts of government-led horrors. Great recco from @Unbroken1.
Unbroken1 …they are great. Quite enjoying the new series of Slow Burn about David Duke (surreal that he was still in the House of Representatives in the 90’s), and the new run of Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History.
rhouses I don’t know why, but I find Gladwell’s tone patronising. Almost like he’s talking down to you. That being said, do enjoy his music podcast with Rick Rubin. the Louis Theroux episode with Chris Dowd (didn’t know who he was) is hilarious.
hugopal On the subject of Buckles, anyone else used to go watch his excellent ‘Bug’ music video shows at the BFI Southbank?
Amps LT42 Also available on better platforms than Spotify. Have currently been giving this a whirl: https://play.acast.com/s/wehaveways Good if you like WWII stuff from a European perspective, although the chat goes all over the place.
Jules72 Two excellent footie podcasts… Radio 5 Live’s World Football Phone In… covers domestic and international football…Tim Vickery is excellent on Latin America No Question About That…. my favourite of the Manchester United podcasts - just two intelligent blokes discussing United
Funky Doubt Elon will be on JRE again, very little homework done by joe this time around bit embarrassing for him.
Christian Homegrove i listened to this over the weekend and completely agree. really insightful and honest podcast. certainly more serious than previous shows but i think that was all down to the issues they had experienced
Jules72 Homegrove @Christian honestly found the first 30-40 mins just went on and on about very little and gave up…. Found this very interesting though.. the guy has a technique to soften the mental health blow of negative thought processes…. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/delicious-ways-to-feel-better/id1428704212?i=1000509176025
Jules72 Christian When I was going through my divorce I had cognitive acceptance therapy at one point and this is similar… works as follows: let’s say Dave Bosstrabs is taking the mick out of you on the board and you’re getting upset.. you depersonalise Dave’s actions by saying to yourself ““Christian is getting upset with Dave’s comments on the board”… try it 👍
