mono-stereo I don’t know most the line ups but there seem to still be some decent ones to make it worth carrying on. And guessing they know what’s decent in all their line ups they have each weekend. The birthday one is immense, and shows how they are still a big player in the London scene.

However not been for a few years so don’t know about the atmosphere there anymore.

Just come from the S&D gig in London and clearly loads off their chops. Chatting to mates how a S&D afternoon 12-10 at fabric would be superb, but if the zero tolerance might be a game changer

I’m going to see Lee Burridge there next month

I haven’t been for long, long time. The magic went very quickly - started getting filled with darlings on charlie and pissed up fellas. Not a great combo

Going to Burridge next month and Garnier in December. Glad to see it’s still going even though not every line up is my cup of tea.

Tyrant parties and breaks in room 2 we’re mint back then.

Dan seen tyrant play on the 11th birthday were absolutely brilliant, Lee seems to be a good bloke but I can’t handle to much of the All Day stuff, I’m sure it would be good on a sunny afternoon in Ibiza after a few mood enhancers .

Going later today for the 25th birthday as I went to the opening night back in 99.
The line ups have changed over the years so don’t go nearly as much. Gone are the days for S&J, etc. Lots of new names coming through which ain’t my bag but must fill the dance floor for the ‘youth’.
Let’s be honest, Fabric is lucky to be open after the deaths and licensing problems. You have to respect the desire to keep the lights on. It has become a little touristy as well but that’s what success and statue brings to any venue.

Shall report back later on Dixon and Dettmann/Klock once through security….

delged the opening night was one of my best ever memories - Sasha played the Baseline Track - Diggers played that “is this the real life” thing that never got released. Shame they never recorded it. I used to love going to see Terry Francis bang out the old tech house and whatever weird shit Craig R used to play. Enjoy.

baggers44 The opening was the first time I saw Sasha. Had seen Diggers a lot already, so it was great to see Sasha turn up unannounced.

This stuck out for me when Sasha dropped it…

What is this track you’re referring to?

          I’ve not been for years.

How bad is security now? Makes sense as they’ve had deaths etc.

Heard stories about bouncers wandering around the dance floor and booting out fucked people.

Always on point as ever, Ed.

Bit disappointed you didn’t ID Themes from Great Cities and Bohemian Rhapsody though.

Security is tight going in as they had to make it so to get the license back from Islington Council.
Never seen any security dogs or anything. That was a bit of a myth….

As for bouncers kicking people for being fucked. Never, ever seen that. You’ve got more chance of being booted for having your phone out.

hugopal It was this track which was a loop of Freddie Mercury singing “is is is is is this the real life……” - he played it a lot in 99 and at some point I collared him and asked him what it was and he said some kid sent it to him on a CD . The underlying melody was really familiar but I’ve forgotten the name now.
