hugopal the megavoices mix destroyed every room it was played in, Oakenfold played it for about six months straight on release. With that wobbly base and build, it was different to everything else at the time.

Oakey battered Lizard around 99-2000 as I recall, but he was also playing ATB and Bullet in a Gun around that time so it was kind of like Smallman’s posting - wade through a load of turgid shit for the odd gem.

I’m over it!! Don’t waste your money!!!
Long queues because of poor management systems and EVERYONE being able to access the guest list (including very underdressed patrons), and only to be faced with a tacky venue overly relying on its reputation of the past, which is overhyped, has overly rude staff, and no vibes as the club is the only area with a decent sound system! So glad I didn’t eat there as planned as not worth the money - even if you have it!!

mono-stereo yea i think the appeal is that its a seminal venue with a bit more of an older crowd that are less annnoying with a better music policy.

Having said that Harvey was swinging out of Freddy Mercury’s back windows with Smallman also in the vicinity so not sure how robust that narrative is.
