ScottBailey If I remember correctly, Perception was shoehorned in at the last minute because Galaxy didnāt get cleared
I do remember reading that, but canāt remember the full name of the track youāre referencing? From what I recall it was some female vocal number that seemed to make less sense than Perception.
hugopal Galaxy - The Island (Vedra Mix) was originally down to be played. He also wanted to use Donner Sumner - I Will go with You (Club 69 Trippy Dub) but it didnāt get cleared
xs2man EZ Mac
ArchimedesQ Yo Pete.

Just went and listened to both of thhese and 2 things come to mind.
Why TF would anyone not want to have their track on a GU mix, which at the time were HUGE. That pretty much guarantees immortalisation of a track.
The correct track was played there. Perception is miles better than either of these. Then again, that may be due to point 1 above.

Yeah itās the Donna Summer track I remember reading about. Thank fuck that didnāt get included.
Iām not sure Iād heard before about the Galaxy track also being mooted. Itās a cool track, but also a bit upbeat for what is the otherwise consistently dark and moody disc 2. Itās also just not as memorable as Perception.
Posting his run through of the tracks pre-release again
hugopal it was some female vocal number
ā¦have you heard it? Itās hardly a full-vocal garage track

ā¦immortalisation for the (however many progheads) that bought it (and still dissect it ad nauseam on here), but letās be honest, most people will never have heard about it. Kinda understandable that Donna Summer didnāt feel she needed a career boost from a fairly niche mix album.

Yeah of course I checked it out.
Sure, but the disco influence still seems inescapable. It sounds like it belongs more on Tenaglia London. It would have derailed the mix almost as much as āIām Freeā derails San Fran disc 1.

Still have no idea what he was thinking with Iām Free on San Fran, lol
We are thoroughly IN THE WEEDS now
As Hugo derails someoneās welcome thread
Welcome xs2man. Never mind Hugo, heās waiting on his psychological results and he gets a bit anxious.
ScottBailey Yeh, the Donna Summer track makes sense. Hugo has no taste so we can safely ignore anything he says on this bar what track was played when and if it was spelled correctly.
