bosstrabs Karl-Heinz Riedle

Was he any good for us, my late 90s football memories are a little hazy.

bosstrabs Still, the club I always root for in the Bundesliga is Werder Bremen - they were my first choice so I’ll stick with them

Bremen is a bit of a drab city though, and the wind is colder than a polar bear’s nutsack.

Just when you think you can’t love him any more he rocks up with a Scouse perm and a tache.

hugopal So is where I grew up so no big deal

Anyway, I like their green kit. There isn’t a team who plays in green in England (except lower league like Plymouth Argyle).

Old-Dutch Yes, their nickname is the ‘Canaries’ because they play in predominantly green.

They’ve had plenty of green kits over the years

They’ve had plenty of green ON their kits.

They have probably had all green away kits.

I can’t be arsed dragging this out but to me saying ‘Norwich play in green’ is like saying ‘Everton play in white’.

Ok fair dos. Bit of a pointless argument to be fair lol

Think Yeovil are the only other team I can think of that play in green predominately in the English leagues

mrrossi Forest Green, now in the football league, if we’re going to be pedantic.

Although their traditional colours were black and white stripes, they only changed to green recently.

bosstrabs Smallman, you’re not a football fan, you’re the equivalent of that braying bellend who scores tickets to his company’s box every week and no one tells to fuck off for being a know-nothing cunt because most people are too polite. Except your freebie exec box isn’t a box, it’s just bog-standard seats with hot choc and Smallman Sr’s corpulent frame wedged between you and some singer from the 80s who has to write songs about the Covid to make people remember who he is.

        You shitnecked incel mong

22 years I’ve had the season ticket Dave.

The one words that springs to mind is COMMITMENT.

        • Amps replied to this.

If this doesn’t draw Dermo out then nothing will

Amps Arrived at Anfield when he was 31/32?

Before that played for Werder Bremen, Lazio and won the European Cup with Dortmund.

I liked him even before he signed for us after I saw him in Euro 92 (top scorer). One of the most intelligent players I’ve seen, like I said. A player who you would root for, because he was great despite lacking physical attributes. He wasn’t tall but was great in the air. He wasn’t fast but would arrive in the box at the right time to score or ping a ball to someone who could.

You could tell his class was still there when he came to Liverpool, like Litmanen, but he was getting on at that point. Probably helped Owen and Fowler a lot though, behind the scenes.

Fair play, you wouldn’t expect much from him at that age. Sounds like he had a similar role to McAllister.

Smallman1 22 years I’ve had the season ticket

Tip of the hat, I couldn’t sit through 22 years of that dross, even if someone else was paying for it.

            The multitude of trophies help.
