One thing which I think he does bring which could be useful, is he’s pretty handy at operating in and around congested penalty areas when opponents park the bus - so finding space, being composed, making little through-balls, dribbling in tight spaces, getting shots away. I reckon he’d make up a bit in that regard for Mata becoming ancient. He’s tenacious as well.

Not sure he’d improve Utd’s starting XI, but he’ll be the top option off the bench.

Mad_Cyril Weird innit, I really like Leeds as a place and have lots of fond memories of the place, some great people too, but the worst fan behaviour i have seen (not a lot compared to some I appreciate) has been from Leeds fans.

In truth I’ll just be glad to see the reds kicking a ball… although a bit worried that we have been worked out during the second half of last season. Hoping Kloppo has some tactical aces up his sleeve to bamboozle the competition once again.

Not sure they were worked out, amps. Foot definitely off the pedal once they got over the line. Didn’t get started when the football began again though. Think they knew it was an inevitability regarding the title with 6 points from 10 games all that was needed.

I do however agree re the season ahead. Especially with no new faces added up front. Are we going to be that lucky again with the front 3 and injuries? Bit worried but you just need to trust the manager.

Currently just think it’d be good if we got some out and out goal hanging tap in merchant so as to have a plan B (an Origi plus if you like, oven ready etc), but it doesn’t feel very Klopp, or even just someone to attract some of the heat of Salah and give him some more room. Plus, who do we get anywhere on the pitch that would really make us any better and not sink the place financially?

There is definitely an element of teams working Liverpool out, if you count the 18/19 season as well, where we played in much the same way, we definitely need some small changes to keep teams on our toes.

Having said that, looking at our team and what it has produced recently, there are no excuses whatsoever if we do slip up badly, but the odds on that are very slim.

As people have said it will be great to have footy back on, are there more games on TV this season?

Hate to say but a fully fit ings would have played and scored loads for us. Klopp could rotate with confidence if he was still there. Origi is way way off level required. 5 iconic goals over the last 2 seasons have kept him there I think.

Hursty Lets face it, due to how good the team is, there’s a crop of young players at Liverpool who are gonna struggle to break in, or have a fuckin hard time of it if they do, you basically have to be at Owen, Fowler or Gerrard levels to get a sniff, and I’m not sure any of those lads are there yet.
