…do you really think aggro is the factor in reducing beer strength? The brewers talk about ‘changing drinking trends’ but I can’t believe people actively seek-out lower strength beers when they go out
'‘Big’ brewery beer marketing is weird, It’s not like the trend is to flood the market with new lower-alcohol beers, the Brewdog bars make a feature of the stronger percentages, even making turbo versions of their bestsellers like Punk. It seems whenever they introduce newer beers, they’ll initially be stronger then they seem to reduce the strength over time. San Miguel appeared on draft everywhere in the early 2000’s at 5.4% and is now down to 5%. Stella went from 5% to 4.8%, and recently to 4.6%. They get a brand popular, then turn it to shit… makes no sense to me
