…that is literally what the article says.

Blimey.

Unbroken1 People vote with their feet. DJ Rolando and Derrick May don’t sell as many tickets as Beyer and Carola. It’s business. Carl Cox has been more popular than the lot of them. Race never held Morillo back. An average dj whose success significantly exceeds his talent

…sorry I’m confused, who is suggesting race held Morillo back?

Damo, the girl’s article mentions race etc.

Personally I think she’s lumping a load of other unrelated issues in with morillo being a rampant sex pest.

…christ almighty, yes it mentions race, it compares dance music’s reaction to BLM to it’s reaction to Morillo’s suicide. That’s it.

Have I slipped-into an alternative dimension here?

…for ‘unrelated’, read my fulsome explanation.

No need for christ almighty, mate. I’m not having a go. Just giving my take on the article. Its filled with unrelated virtue signalling, in my opinion, as I stated in my next post.

I’m not sure the ‘erasing’ is always the deliberate act it’s sometimes, conveniently, labelled as. Some people just have no interest in history, or are oblivious to it for whatever reason.

Deliberate erasing is definitely a problem though, I definitely agree with that.

…OK, as I’ve said repeatedly in this thread, I’m not a huge fan of the article either, but definitely don’t find some of the parallels that odd/unbelievable either.

I do find the fact that bringing race in this conversation is triggering for some quite bizarre though.

Damo always gets exercised at the thought of sexual racism spoiling his dance parties.

Never an issue at my Zackster presents MAGAritaville nights.

Its been noted he plays very little Detroit Techno as well 😁

Smallman1 I wonder how many MAGA supporters have cut their teeth on Prog dance floors?
