Amps On a more serious note, during many of his peak years e.g. the late 90s to late 00s it seems about $25k-$30k.
I’m not sure what they would have been since the partly EDM-fuelled, big festival explosion from around 2010 though - many top DJ’s fees seemed to have at least doubled over the last decade, but he was rather on a downward slope during this time. I don’t know how old this is, but towards the end they might have dropped a bit for him to around $20k.

Plus what he was pulling in from Subliminal which, during its heyday, was one of the bigger labels in an era where record sales actually mattered. Beyond sales, they also had quite a bit of licensing for commercials and tv shows over this way. A lot of money.
Nothing compared to what was thrown around this past decade with the US festival circuit and Vegas club residencies. But still a lot of money. I italicize was because it’s my understanding that cash grab ship has all but sailed with that nonsense. COVID just accelerated the bubble burst. I read someone saying Avicii’s death was as much metaphor as it was tragic.
His residency at Pacha was huge for years too.
I’d like to move in, move in. I’ll get my coat…
Yes Simon!
Christ, that’s some pad! If you are going to receive an unwanted fingering, might as well do it in style…

What are you basing that on?
He says right there in the quoted text that he read it, Hugo.
I hope the precinct put their best men on the job, Hugo. I really do.

WTF! Not even worth a bag of balls, let alone a $million a show!
Calvin Harris’ first ever job in London was at M&S in Clapham South.
Tru fax.
A friend who works in the industry shared a trade magazine article about “EDM”; how festival attendance was down and the Vegas clubs weren’t doing as well. That this boom era was coming to an end. I can’t vouch for it, mind, but I remember them making good points. This was over a year ago so it was not a COVID issue. I’ll see if I can find it but I don’t remember the magazine title unfortunately.
After COVID everyone will be gagging to get back to festivals/clubs/EDM mega RAVEZ
A lot of the people who were really into all that are starting to age out. The younger generation, being naturally contrarian, move on to different things. And then there’s social media. Hedonism is all but dead with the people who’ve grown up with Instagram and the like. They’re much more careful about how they appear online. They know that 8 mitsubishi-deep face on a Friday night could make for a very embarrassing Saturday morning. Shame, really, but it is what it is.
If you are 8 pills deep on Friday night you aren’t going to be too concerned about anything on sat morning, jy. Absolutely still at full flight then!
