Had some excellent food in Manchester this past weekend.
Yuzu - Japanese Izakaya type place just round the corner from MC’s preferred Chinese hangout, in Chinatown. Outstanding yakitori and gyoza, and a very good tonkatsu.
Wholesome Junkies (at Jimmy’s) - plant based, but banging. Best plant based burger I can remember having. Amazing tater tots.
House of Fu - urgent nourishing bowl of comfort food to deal with Saturday overhang. House of Fu does proper ramen. Very good tantanmen, and a top notch tonkotsu. Outposts in both Manchester and Leeds, apparently.
Jane Eyre (Chorlton) - much needed recovery roast. Was awesome. Pork belly and beef sirloin both expertly seasoned and cooked, and some of the best roast potatoes I can ever remember having with a roast. Sensational.
