“Upon arrival the staff were chatting and so had to wait for them to stop and notice us before then taken to table. Had to wait over 15 minutes to order food, even though restaurant was far from busy. Ordered cocktails first and then a bread starter and two mains and sides. Cocktails did not arrive until main was served and both were exceptionally unpleasant - the poison heart akin to a bar of soap. Main meals of ox cheek and halibut were both cold upon (slow) arrival - ox cheek was dry and rubbery. Halibut fine but clams on plate inedible. Side of red cabbage was good but truffle mashed potato disappointing as couldn’t taste the truffle. I had hoped to have the chocolate cake for dessert but after such a disappointing meal I couldn’t risk it and got out as quickly as possible. Pricing was shocking given the quality.”
