hugopal At the time we were playing stuff like Way Out West/Tribal Label material. In the main room it was banging 150bpm stuff. Likes of Garnier/Cox/Trevor Rockcliffe were on most of the flyers. Not too sure where the warehouse was 🤔. The German crowd just didn’t get the big breaks in the tracks.

Russian Mafia ran everything from the door to the restaurants we ate in.

zackster yeah I did much prefer the Seismic Dance Event set I posted the other week. It seems she was going a bit more ambient/experimental at the beginning, perhaps because of the setting being on an alternative streaming platform as opposed to peak-time at a club, but then it was a bit sloppy and took until halfway to really get going. The new Vladimir Dubyshkin track at 28 sounded good though.

I’ve never seen Allien live, but I’ve listened to a lot of her lockdown sets. I find them fun and she plays some cracking tunes.

Her mixing is often atrocious though; I don’t mind it so much when just listening to her sets in the background, but it could be annoying in a club.

Matrixxman is good, but I still give Setaoc Mass the edge in that kind of style. In case you missed it, his latest Hor from a month or so ago is perhaps his best yet:

Almost all my friends from Goa are into Psy-trance even my Indian friends. Besides none of them are there because if covid. Was hoping to go back in January myself but it’s not looking good. I really miss it.

Same with my Burner friends. Love themselves some high-tempo Trance. But DJing for them they’re a very open-minded bunch. Can play them a range of stuff and they’re good with whatever. Always up for a good time.

One thing I’ll say for Psy Trance, it hasn’t changed in 20 years. You can easily pick out a Christopher Lawrence record from ages ago and it’ll work just fine. Something to be said for consistency.
