Jonatton, please go have the pork belly banh mi at B.Patt on Divsadero on my behalf. God, what a sandwich. And then smash a chocolate chip cookie at their bakery (or anything from that place - the kougins and chocolate banana almond croissant are special too), which is 90% chocolate and 10% biscuit.

Never understood the fascination with the BLT when I was in the States for college, but have a new found respect for it. I do sneak in a couple of chunks of brie in there, to be a little naughty.

There’s a bacon brie sandwich with cranberry chutney at this place in Bombay that I can’t get enough of.

And of course the mighty club sandwich, which is usually my measurement for room service at hotel - chicken salad/grilled chicken breast, boiled eggs/fried egg, bacon, lettuce tomato, green capsicum in a triple decker.

Otherwise, breakfast sandwich all the way. Semi-runny scrambled eggs, cheddar and some thick slices of spam - either on a bagel or a brioche. UFFFF.

Dave - I remember you telling us about the beauty of the ‘chip butty’… not a purist, but I do like putting in French fries or crisp into my sandwiches once in a while.

Wouldn’t mind trying those fancy katsu sandos and the 7-11 egg salad sandwiches in Japan one of these days. And I am partial to some good smoked turkey too.

rhouses the egg sambos are unreal, little pocket of heaven! That Japanese mayo is deadly

Stopping eating meat is a bit of a kick in the nuts for me as far as sandwiches are concerned.

A good BLT and a good Muffuletta are the king and queen of sandwiches.

Nowadays, I eat a lot of cheese sandwiches, but my go-to replacement for a BLT is a halloumi, lettuce and tomato with plenty of mayo, salt and pepper on sourdough.

The one I like to make myself: BLT
The one I usually buy: Italian BMT.

bosstrabs I would exclude the beans from this one as your gonna end up with a soggy bap.

mono-stereo homemade is the daddy. Mature organic cheddar, tomato, white onion (loads of it), lettucu, plenty of mayo, salt and pepper on white sourdough.

Get a cheese and pickle down your Gregory, Edward. Put some hairs on your chest ffs.
