Glad I didn’t bother with it. There’s too much good new music around to be bothered about obscure old stuff.

Seen it’s available digitally on Bandcamp. What a tune - 1994

      I disagree.

i think the vinyl sets have confirmed how good he is. It’s way to easy to mix with CDJs and too easy to bpm match with cue marks and hot cues. His vinyl mixing is superb. Tickling the vinyl speed constantly and cueing. He never adjusts speed or cueing up on Cdjs. And why would he. Also quantised loops etc. make digital DJing very easy.
There won’t be many new DJs from the last 20 years could pull of a vinyl set like the last 2 weeks.

I know times change but being an older gentleman, I enjoy watching his analogue skills. Pity there are no cameras above to see what he is doing on the mixer. Was it the AH DB?

      loved it.

SM001 7:00 just blasts off into another dimension . .

Last track is Joe Roberts - Love Is Energy (D.O.P. Mix) [FFRR]

Don’t know a single track from that list. Excellent.

You could list any of the top DJs on the circuit right now and guaranteed they were all using 1210s back in the day and could string together a set if they’d bother their arse. Whether you like what they play or not is another matter.

          SM001

The penny has just dropped that this is the track that Maceo Plex sampled for Love Somebody Else

          SM001 Onionz

Back in the late ’90’s he was one of the best and most underrated DJs going. Absolutely smashed every room to smithereens. Saw him and Doc Martin go back to back at a warehouse in Oakland. Both had the place jumping.

I liked last week’s mix much more. This was dull.

The live stream on Facebook is still going on, 21 hrs. It’s impossible to save the video.

Homegrove I’m the exact opposite. Last week’s went nowhere. Pretty, but bland. This one was short, but more interesting.
