A very poorly done genre, the rock-dance crossover, much like rap-rock.
Empirion kind of did it well many years ago. As did the Prodigy, and more recently Pendulum and Freeland.
KMFDM and Front 242… now you’re heading more into industrial than rock-dance I suppose.
I know Dave, I know. Apologies, it’s a weird ask but I wanted to help my buddy out.
thanks for those. Prodigy is a decent shout actually. Which track do we reckon?
Rammstein - Du Hast is an obvious first thought
Lionrock?
Welcome to Depeche Mode and New Order!
ScottBailey danke
Its not a genre i am well versed in and that appears to be a blessing.
Hannu must have a few choice cuts from this oft overlooked sub genre?
It’s Juls on Primordial Radio starting now if anyone’s interested
Air guitar 4 days
Pendulum are absolutely awful.
Cheers.
That’s what you call a mongrel. Queen and The Stones probably did it best with Miss you and Another one bites the dust. Dynasty by Kiss is a guilty pleasure
Ozric Tentacles.
There are some stunningly crafted remixes of popular rock tracks in the ‘Remix Death Row’ thread.
Be careful though, a lot of them can’t be unheard
Stone Roses Fools Gold. Best rock/dance
Jonatton has absolutely nailed it.
Stone Roses - wouldn’t consider them rock, more jangly guitar pop.
Although Smallman can better categorise them, having been at Spike Island.
Inxs is pretty dancey but again would you call them rock. Good though especially Kick album
C_J can you let your friend know that ole Smallman 1 will be giving her radio show a mahoosive s to the werve?
Cheers.
there was a remix of silversun pickups - lazy eye that was decent, but don’t remember which mix it was.
Ahh the Jason Bentley remix. Proper feel good vibes.
LOL
