Once spent 9 hours orbiting Catford at 20mph on Hernan Cattaneo rail.
Hs2
Mad_Cyril don’t think so, but it’s north west london. Surely is this is about speed of getting from london to Birmingham it doesn’t make sense to stop outside of central London and make people change onto another line. Am guessing that 20 min journey saving will disappear as they then spend 20 mins or more getting to where they need to be

Around my way the Estate agents were selling newbuild flats on the premise that HS2 was coming through the area. It isn’t stopping, just coming through on lines. People paying a premium for HS2 so they get to hear it and see it flash past their flats. Reg

Thought was near North Acton?
Wasn’t an overly serious post though, was doing Shepherds Bush <> Chancery Lane last week and that was a ball ache.
Especially after being booze-poisoned by @ScottBailey
RichM It could work well if they have frequent connections from Old Oak Common to Heathrow and south London, because those places are a fucking pain in the arse to get to off the West Coast Main Line.
You have to go to Euston then across London in a stinking tube carriage to Paddington or Waterloo or Blackfriars at the moment. Utter reg.
Still, I can’t imagine any actual joined-up planning happening from a UK government.

It was more Sean than myself but..Yes! Let’s have a get together guyz
benson I read up a bit on this after Amps post and things mentioned were your point on the difference of how densely populated both lines are. Also the huge costs in the UK to pay for obtaining the land and protecting nature. Does make me wonder why they still bothered with trying to go ahead with the whole thing
