Global Underground Locations: RANKED
Typical seppo. “Amsterdam is RAD, man! Went there for SPRING BREAK and ate so MANY CAKES”
Wanker.
Also Singapore is absolute shit on a stick for anything except weather, the good airport and eating.
Therefore Shanghai should be level with it.
You can’t do Persians in either - heavy penalties.
Singaporeans have better English but Shanghai has better whoring.
jonattonyeah Black Rock City
Had to look this up. What an atrocious track list.

Is this a ranking of the albums or the locations? If it’s the albums…
- Ibiza
- San Francisco
- Reykjavik
Get with the programme, Wasily
Strictly locations, Wasily.
London, the apex predator of all cities.
Quite right.
bosstrabs I fancied going to Singapore for a shortish trip - loads of people rave about it. Really a bit shit in your view?
London, Paris, Munich……
For the 3 days I was there, I thoroughly enjoyed Singapore.
If this is about the albums then a total and final ban request for J, that topic should never ever appear in a thread again lest you be shunned and ostracised.
I still have a soft spot for San Fran after all these years, the only place that comes close to it for ambience is Melbourne. Its size for a major US city is perfect, easy to get around, beautiful neighborhoods, food, music scene, and great history. I’d move there in a heartbeat.
LT42 Same, love San Francisco.
Along_the_Wire It’s a bit sterile, and expensive, with none of the rough and tumble of other parts of Asia.
I found Saigon much more fun, despite almost being killed by some motor vehicle or other every day I was there.
Berlin!
London is an also-ran and should be midtable IMO. Planned on visiting Tokyo for the Olympics this year, but obviously that all went to shit. San Francisco should be up there also. Naples is a dump, foods good though.
London’s great if you want a barely full club that’s depressingly about to be sold off for ‘properdee’, then a dangerous ride home in a Datsun from someone who only three weeks prior was in a civil war in Sierra Leone.
And that was before COVID.
S to the werve.
bosstrabs I have had my doubts on the sterility angle - it looks it in all the PR shots. Might just make it a stopover on the way to somewhere else
Along_the_Wire That’s what I did - 2 days there on my way to Oz and 2 days on the way back. More than enough tbh.
Not a fan of Amsterdam Dave?

It’s about the locales.
Agreed on me deserving shunning and ostracizing, ’though.
mono-stereo Naples is a dump
I was shocked by the state of Naples. What an odd place.
jonattonyeah You not seen Gomorrah?!
Yeah but after I’d been. I dunno. Guess I just had these silly romantic ideas of all things Italy without taking into account that people exist and people make a mess.

I like to do Singapore once a year to experience true first world living. Can’t say I’m a fan of the weather, it’s humid af but I mean, if you play your cards right you can be in AC through the day. The food and shopping is second to none in Asia imo. Wouldn’t mind doing a couple of years in either Dubai or Singapore, make some money tax free. But yeah, draconian laws for weed makes me think it’s not a long term choice.
My top 5 for living would be:
- San Francisco
- Amsterdam
- London
- Los Angeles, though I’d probably either drive an hour south or north to OC or Santa Barbara to live.
- Bangkok
Besides London, the common factor is weed is legal and the food is great.
I imagine NYC is like Mumbai, hectic. Not really my scene.
Weed?
Are you still at College or Uni?
Second part of the lineup announced, including Dixon.
@Smallman1 will no doubt be booking tickets as we speak.
A real surprise to see Villalobos on there as well.
Smallman1 Can’t kitchen sink it up for fear of being sawn in half.
Beheaded?
There’ll only be one person chucking themselves in water Hugo and that’s me.
