Smallman1 i’m on track 3 of the first mix and it’s bloody terrible. no flow from one track to the next, the mixing is as bad as it gets without boots in the dryer. i’ll do my best to get through it, but in no way does this belong on any list of great mixes. this is in the same ballpark as gatecrasher black.

zackster haha the picture is bang on. it’s because we’re all mostly old and out of touch.

I don’t know what to say 303.

You clearly have no ear and terrible taste in music.

Didn’t know Millsy was a Caledonian fan.

Smallman1 lol mashing ok individual tracks together doesn’t make a great mix. if you can’t tell the difference between well mixed and not after all this time, i’m questioning your ears.

edit: ffs listen to the volume jump between summersault and water. that’s a bad mix for someone who’s been at it 3 weeks.

Smallman1 not in and of itself, but it is essential. poor records mixed well and great records mixed poorly both preempt inclusion on a “great mix” list. and there’s honestly no reason a “professional” can’t mix better than this. it’s really awful from a technical standpoint.

day by day into life in mind has to be one of the laziest mixes i’ve ever heard. you can’t be serious that you think this is good, much less a classic. you’d be better off playing the unmixed versions in a better order.

i went into this mix completely open minded and i have to shut it off 6 tracks in.

I remember never listening to Oakie New York based on the fact that it looked and sounded like a party bus mix and it’s funny because I have the exact same feeling now.

I’ve ordered it to swing in via Liqui’s too.

Along_the_Wire It’s about my facts. As soon as the deep dish dub of True comes in the mix becomes dated.

In what has to be the craziest year on the planet, it is absolutely incredible that the maddest thing about it is that Oakey’s 007 is being questioned.

    Un be lievable Jeff!

Smallman1 based on everything I’ve read I don’t see much reason to listen to it.

As I said last night SM1, you’re a buffon, and 007 is shite.

      Wind your neck in

First time I’ve ever been linked to the great Buffon.

      Grazie mille MC!

Think it’s safe to say most here need help using the home computer.

Have not kept up with this thread, but, older cd mixes that get the most spins from me look like this:

      NE2
      006 Sydney
      009 San Fran
      NuBreed Howells
      Chems Gonna Work It Out

There are a few more, but they are probably the most visited over the last 20 odd years.

The Maceo Plex Fabric mix from 18 is very good. Some great electro cuts in there

I enjoyed No.4, played it to death in the car at the time

It was a great series. 1, 2, 4 and 3 is my order of preference. 3 went a bit too mental for me

This is both enduring and still relevant

LT42 Back in the day when Burridge didn’t play fluffy poolside house. Good pick!

        zackster

        Not a fan then !?

I guess by doozy you mean someone with superior taste and knowledge; thanks.
