Amazon’s LOTR-show is, judging by the two first episodes, just like Silmarillion (which they can’t say its based on, because supposedly they are going by the LOTR appendices (which are mostly a summaration of Silmarillion)), lots of content, pretty grandstanding and boring. So far at least. The show cost a billion dollars, and it can be seen so there is that at least.
