Homegrove Dark Matter on Apple TV+ would have been great if they didn’t strech a 400 page novel into a 9 episode season of TV. Now it was just too long. The last two episodes were so good I got angry the middle dragged on and on. Jennifer Connelly still looks absolutely incredible BTW.
rhouses Was thinking I’d have to eat my words about HOTD with 303, shit was beginning to look mad cheesy. But the latest episode was actually good, reminded me of the table setting, slow burner episodes from GOT. Still, the writing doesn’t even come close.
Dubman Along_the_Wire I thought he died. She could take them both out There can’t be many episodes left
rhouses Probably get roasted for this, but Hacks is an easy, fun watch. Worth the time or at least in the background.
Amps The Jetty. BBC. The writer and the director have managed to make everyone in it utterly loathsome. You’re made to purposely hate all the characters. No idea why, not sure what they’re trying to achieve. I admit I was thrown a curve ball by the teenage lesbian zoophilia horse wanking scene, but I doubt I’ll be tuning in for the second episode. Pity, as I quite like Jenna Coleman.
Dubman Hell Jumper. BBC A very moving documentary about a group of volunteers who go out to Ukraine to evacuate mainly old people from the front line without any military support whatsoever ever. The main story is about the young British lad called Chris Parry. 10/10
