Amps This City is Ours - BBC Standard crime drama in many respects, but truely elevated for me by the casting and dialogue. They got the Scouseness of it all spot on. Some of the characters are carbon copies of people I know, bar the murdering bits.
Along_the_Wire Amps Scouseness? Do you mean murdering, thieving gypsy bastards, or the version they consider themselves after Heysel?
303abuser Really enjoyed the new season of White Lotus. Parker Posey was pure comedy, she played that role so well.
Amps alistair Support Liverpool football club… but hate everything and everyone from the city? You are an absolute Tory fruit loop. Proper Fabricant’s hair piece.
303abuser rosscoe I thought the first season was maybe a bit better, but they’re different and both exceptional. I enjoyed the slow fuse of season 3.
bosstrabs Disagree, the first one genuinely funny, especially the shit in the suitcase. It’s all too homoerotic now.
LT42 I’ve been really impressed with Adolescence, the camerawork is incredibly well done. Fair play to the creators, they deserve all the plaudits they’ll surely receive. Grim storyline but a refreshing take on acting and production. 2 episodes to go. I don’t think there’s any debate around Graham being in the very top tier nowadays.

Episode 3 (I think), the one on one with the psychologist, is probably the most gruelling and intense hour of TV I’ve experienced since Millsy invited me round to watch ‘Animal Farm’.
alistair Amps you don’t have to appreciate chippy, self loathing, pond life like you to support the football club.
Amps alistair Well done on not conflating two things… that shows an appreciation of subtlety and nuance… possibly even imagination… at this rate you might grow some emotions, like a real boy!
Dubman Watched the first 4 episodes of Mobland . Which stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan & Helen Mirren. It’s very hard to get past the awful Irish accents from Helen Mirren & Brosnan even though he’s Irish. Tom Hardy thinks he’s Ray Winston. No spoilers but I rate it just above Gangs of London in terms of acting and storyline
Dubman SM001 I don’t know what part of Ireland he comes from or maybe he’s just lost his home accent but it just sounds so forced
rhouses Finally got around to watching the first episode of “The Studio”… good shit, great cameo from Marty Scorsese.
Homegrove Started the original Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy-miniseries. Jesus christ how miserable the UK looked in the 70s. Loving it.

vinnyt77 Homegrove It’s brilliant. Perfect adaptation IMO. Alec Guinness is sensational in it. Make sure you watch the final part of the Karla trilogy - Smiley’s People afterwards…
