Anyone having issues using iPlayer abroad over the past few weeks? When i’m working from the US I usually use a VPN with no issues, but seems like BBC are cracking down big time and taking note of the IP addresses of the servers.

If anyone can still access, can you let me know what VPN/DNS service is still working please - cheers ears….

Only way I can get this working is via MacBook beamed to the TV on Airplay.

The MacBook has NORD VPN on it.

I need to try and learn how to put VPN settings into a router, I’m totally new to the world of VPN since moving to Cyprus from UK.

Just switched to NORD and seems to be working getter than ExpressVPN.

DNS updating on the computer/streamer seems like the next best alternative or updating the router itself……that seems a bit complex for me TBH

Having troubles streaming off channel 5 site. Seems like they’ve implemented some kind of barrier which picks up use of proxy’s and vpn’s.

Anyone got any ideas? Is it downloadable?

    Not sure if this would work but my VPN provider lets me choose a country/location. Or maybe you could try downloading it off a torrent site

      Try clearing cache or opening from another browser like Firefox.

      When you select your VPN to U.K. in most cases select a different U.K. server (not just the one it chooses for you) - sometimes that fixed it for us.

      I have wondered why this happens as I get it sometimes too, on various streaming platforms.

        Any general advice around vpns? I’m looking at express vpn over nord because I can install express on my router.

        Basically I’m done with streaming services going back to the cable model and going back to the high seas. My only concerns are speeds, reliability, and maybe some stuff I haven’t thought of.

          I recommend Mullvad VPN, you can set it up on a router using OpenVPN if required

          Express VPN works well, home and abroad, and is easy to set up / maintain.

            Also, not sure if I’ve mentioned it, but I’M IN ROME, and it still works.

                  Tried watching some shows on Amazon here in India. But it’s well restricted for some reason. I then switched on my VPN and set the location to UK. They then told me they detected that I was using a VPN & told me switch it off. C#nts.
