Been a shit year for sure. I lost my mother to covid back in march. I couldn’t travel over to Blighty for her cremation due to lockdown. I haven’t worked for 7 months. I’m now thousands in debt with my landlord due to no income. No government aid from the french government due to having only worked 3 months prior(I’d just moved back to France from Hong Kong), where as if I’d worked 6 months I’d’ve been qualified to earn 80% of my salary. And just because life has a sick sense of humour the apartment above me recently had a burst pipe and my living room ceiling has basically crumbled. But a part from everything going to shit I’m keeping a positive mentality. Can’t say I’m more fucked up than usual. Although the death of my Mother has certainly woken me up to the fact that we’re not in fact invincible, and time definitely speeds up the older we get.
