I watched a couple of biographical films over the weekend.
JFK (1991) - I seem to recall that this was panned at the time (might be wrong on that), perhaps due to its long runtime (3hrs 10 mins) - but it was actually a very solid retelling of the JFK assassination. Lots of big and future stars were in this as well - although the hairpieces on Tommy Lee Jones and Joe Pesci have got to be the worst I have ever seen on the big screen.
I’m Still Here (2024) - I saw this recommended in this thread and I am glad I watched it. A very interesting account of the military dictatorship in the late 60s/early 70s within Brazil, which I must confess I was unaware of previously. Some great acting performances, especially from the main female character. I would defintely recommend
