-si- Embarrassed to admit i only watched the shining in it’s entirety, for the first time, at the start of this year. I enjoyed it. He played that character and scenario really well i thought. Going to watch chinatown this weekend.
Along_the_Wire I watched it recently, been going through some classic films with our youngest - he’s been loving it and it’s been great watching films like that you haven’t seen for a long time. French Connection up next - what a treat

Along_the_Wire LT42 Yeah, love the second one - always underrated that one, but it’s great - Gene Hackman does some turn in that.
bosstrabs Millsy Get Shorty a great Hackman vehicle. Thought it was shit when it came out, didn’t concentrate properly. Watched it again a few years ago and it was magnificent. Hackman playing basically a wimp, totally different to his usual roles, but brilliant.
jonattonyeah Watched “Enemy of the State” not too long ago. Held up quite well! Hackman is excellent in it as always.
Kells77 Apocalypto - 4/10. Lots of action, and a sad story, but it was too long, and some of the plot just fell flat for me.
