Homegrove Shot Caller (2017). An alright gritty prison thriller that keeps going back and forth in the timeline. Not sure how good Jamie Lannister in the lead is, but the supporting cast sure do bring it. Holt McCallany especially.

I wasted two hours on my flight home on this. This is absolute tripe and I blame you and fucking Millsy absolutely for this.

Angel Heart (1987). Way better than I remembered. And I used to think it was good from my memories of watching it sometime in the 90s. I’ve never been a huge Mickey Rourke-guy but he’s really good in this, and Robert DeNiro gives one of his best unflashy acting performances (Jesus the little subtle stuff he does in this) as Louis Cypher. Say that name out loud lol.
