Longlegs: 10AM show, place was half packed with hipsters. It’s pretty damn good. If you were disappointed with the latest True Detective season, this should make up for it and then some. Nic Cage bringing his weird, creepy af Nic Cage at about 10x, and the lead actress is exceptional. Difficult to talk about it without spoiling, but as far as satanic serial killer movies go, it’s got quite a unique premise. The cinematography is brilliant, not saying that lightly. The type of movie where you feel every shot is framed like an art piece. Reddit saying plenty of shit happening in the background also, but I wasnt being extra about it while watching. It’s a real slow burn first half, but second half is intense. Have a feeling it’ll be a cult classic in the genre. Will watch again for sure and would recommend catching it on the big screen. There’s a supernatural aspect that plays out quite subtly, which I’m hoping will be explained on second watch, I personally hate that shit in horror movies, but this doesn’t ruin the experience (it did with Hereditary).
