Homegrove id have got motion sickness if I was upfront for that gravity acid scene. Great movie, but downgrading rating to 7.9. The first is in the high 8s, maybe touching 9.

Blink Twice: Don’t want to spoil anything with the obvious comparisons. I went in completely blind, no idea what the genre was or the premise. This is a well packaged, maybe a bit over directed, movie. Writing, acting, plot all solid, but I mean, it’s been done before and many times. I’m not sure if it was because the Indian censors chopped it, so maybe the ‘fucked up’ part was a bit watered down for me.

Aliens (1986)

Short review. Not as good as Alien by a long stretch.

Longer review. This wasn’t quite as good as I expected it to be, given it was a James Cameron film and his first after Terminator. It got a little Hollywood towards the end, whereas the first film had tension throughout. There were some good moments- the first view of the Alien mother, Bishops fate at the end. I also couldn’t get past the foster mum from Terminator 2 being a rock hard marine type character. Also Bill Paxtons character was a little annoying.

Would give it 7 out of 10 as the first half was very good.

gcw nail and head. That ending was bat shit crazy. It’s 80s AF. Friend was saying you need to blow a couple of lines to truly appreciate it. 7.7 for me, the first one is in the high 8s.

Went right into 3 and turned it off after 45 mins. Sorry @Homegrove. It was more Prison Break than Oz. Also fincher giving 0 fucks for newt, hicks and bishop after you’ve gone on the most insane roller coaster with them on aliens, was hilarious.

rhouses Me too. I also find it interesting Jenette Goldstein is not remotely hispanic yet no one gives a shit, but the number of people upset about Paul Reiser (another Jewish actor) playing Carter Burke (Irish) is ridiculous. They’re called ‘actors’ for a reason.

Got this in the mail today, and after dinner (not the sort of movie I’d eat while watching) popped it in the player and enjoyed the hell out of it.

Amazing picture quality, and the restored original stereo mix (since the DVD all that’s been available was a not very good 5.1 surround mix) was great. 4K enthusiasts on various forums are always asking old movies to have the original sound, and now I get it. This was not cheap, but I consider it money well spent.
