carmani i felt like that about tangerine, people shouting over each other and things being relentlessly hectic (but still enjoyed it).
Anora is probably his most accessible film, next to red rocket. Baker isn’t for everyone though, I wouldn’t fault anyone for feeling the way you do about his stuff. There’s just something inherently human in all his movies and that matched with all the colours popping from the cinematography makes them big winners for me. Also the constant ‘alright wtf is going to happen now’ feeling that runs through out.
