BR2049 did pretty well for its length. Not sure what they were thinking releasing an almost three hour flick with its odd pacing and a budget of like $150M. Those films just don’t do very well in the streaming era. I know I won’t go to the cinema for something that long. I’ll wait and watch it in two sessions at home.
And it’s not like the original did well. Cult classic, sure, but it was a box office failure.
