Ahhhh that’s what you mean. I’m good with them in a theatre but I tend to get irritated at home as I like fiddling with my phone too much when in front of the tele. As for the generalization, could be ’cause for ages there pretty much every movie Americans watched was from Hollywood. That’s not the case anymore. People are lazy and don’t like change.
I tell you what I could use subtitles for: Top Boy. I suppose I could turn them on but would it translate the more hyper-localized slang?
