There’s a handy little tool called moviesatlasapp.com that shows you where certain movies can be played/streamed. Check it out if, like me, you are overwhelmed with all the options out there.
Rate The Last Movie you Watched
Justwatch.com works well too. I use that. You can add your streaming services for free, and you can also check what movies are on sale at iTunes and Google if you buy movies on VOD.
Wasily sorry mate, my fault
It’s What’s Inside: An entertaining roller coaster ride, that forces you to hold on tight. But it’s a bit too gen z with a load of jump cuts and screen shots of social media action, along with the overall disco lighting. Without spoiling too much, I didn’t like the bits at the end where they go red screen and make things obvious. Enjoyed the twist though. Good watch but would probably enjoy more if I was in high school.

Alien Romulus
Hollywood continues to cosplay as Hollywood, rather than create any original art, for the sake of nostalgia dollar. Load of shite.
1 surprisingly shitty deep fake out of 5
Really enjoyed The Apprentice. Loved the throwback to grimy 70’s New York and the much chintzier 80s. Anchored by two strong performances especially Jeremy Strong as the venal Roy Cohn who takes Don under his wing. Superb soundtrack too. Forget the Bradshaw/Guardian review. It’s a lot of fun.
alistair Bradshaw/Guardian review
I reckon he’s taking bungs - his reviews are almost worthless nowadays. Shame.
A Bigger Splash (2015). Hot rich people get naked in Italy, drama follows. Ralph Fiennes is incredible in this, I can’t believe he’s never won an Oscar.

Speak No Evil (2024) 7/10
American couple with daughter based in London meet ‘Bristolian’ James McAvoy and family on holiday in Italy then go visit his West Country farmhouse for another holiday when they return to the UK.
This is a decent psychological horror movie that builds nicely, creating a sense of discomfort for the visitors and audience, starting with relatively innocuous stuff like serving goose to a pescatarian and going on to more heinous behaviour.
McAvoy’s West Country is all over the shop (I know as I talk to @ScottBailey sometimes) but this movie is well executed and the tension builds really well. Not a massive fan of horror but this was a decent watch. Some memorable dance scenes with Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe.
The wild robot - took the kids to see this after hearing good things and it’s class. Loved it. Arguably Dreamworks best animated feature. If you’ve got young kids and are looking for something to do, you could do far worse. 9/10

Caddo Lake (2024)
Don’t read anything about it. It’s an M. Night Shyamalan joint so you know the type of vibe. It borrows from a certain TV show but hey, steal from the best, right?
I’d recommend this. Pretty good.
