Watched Weapons and Silence of the Lambs back to back with my son last night. We both thought Weapons was ‘mid’ and sotl was of its time. Hannibal’s escape is still a great bit of cinema.

Millsy I recently learned Hopkins adlibbed Lecter mocking Starling’s accent to get under Jodie Foster’s skin more in the scene. Foster apparently unsure if her accent was working. Great stuff.

Wake Up Dead Man (2025). I hope Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig keep making these. They are a lot of fun. This might be the best one yet.

Dubman Glass Onion wasn’t bad, unless you compare it to this and the first one. It definitely had the most fun with the cast.

Bad Lieutenant (1992)

This was not as good as I thought it was going to be, but it was still good (if that makes sense).

It was a great acting performance from Keitel, I just felt the story was a little loose at times. Loved the gritty scenes of New York, which looked like a right dive for that time.

Just did a rewatch of Starship Troopers. One of those films where on my first watch I was soon thinking, ‘What in the Days of Our Lives am I watching?’ to ‘this is actually a quality film’ that I’ve returned to many times. Rare to do that these days. Plus it has Denise Richards.

This Is Spinal Tap (1984).

I’ve not seen this since the 90s. I bought from Apple when it was on sale months ago. But I only got around to watching it tonight for obvious sad reasons.

This movie is just so damn funny. I had a cat on my lap watching it and when Nigel tells the name of his lovely piano-instrumental I laughed so loud she jumped, and looked at me visibly angry.
