Had a bit of a HBO-based rewatch weekend:
Mystic River - not seen for ages as it wasn’t available to buy or rent anywhere - so this at the cinema so long ago. Really, really grim and it’s awful watching it all unfold knowing what’s going to happen. Sean Penn really is a brilliant actor - didn’t know he got an Oscar for this til I looked it up. 9/10
Argo - decent bit of entertainment, my youngest was in with his missus, so they wanted to watch it. Seen it, so affected the tension somewhat - 6/10
The Town - watched with my youngest and his missus again, I don’t think I’d ever choose to rewatch this. Bit of a silly robbery caper with a ridiculous relationship angle. Chewing gum for the brain. 5/10
Interstellar - saw this at the cinema when it came out, but was battered to night before, so kept falling asleep - thought it was bit shit and boring. Well, it turns out that sleeping during this film causes to you to miss significant elements of the plot. I absolutely loved this film and it looked and sounded terrific on the Sammy set-up at home. 9.5/10
Inception - good to watch this without wondering what the fuck is going on. The mumbling dialogue was really getting on my tits mind, so it’s getting a 7/10
