Ressurection (2022)
Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth. Now there’s a couple of talented British people who don’t get nearly enough acclaim. Well, they’re brilliant in this.
Is it a good film? Meh.
Did I enjoy it? Yes.
Did I enjoy it largely because I am a sucker for this type of film, i.e a lowish-budget creepy psychological mystery thriller thing that looks like it was dreamt up and filmed over the course of a couple of weeks and yet still manages to land a few fairly significant blows to the psyche and actually makes you reassess your understanding of how relationships work and how one person can exert control over another despite everything?
Probably, yes. But I’d still recommend it, for Roth’s terrible toothy grin if nothing else.
