You’re listening to a lot of long ramblings from the psychopaths in Mindhunter and some of those guys were pretty obscure too. A quick read between the episodes was helpful, but also made it a lot more sinister too.

Gone Girl was ok… nothing compared to Seven, Fight Club, Zodiac. Rosemund Pike is great in it. Social Network was decent, but I can’t stand Aaron Sorkin - ruined it for me.

Saw Tenet yesterday at a Curzon (just 6 people in the auditorium…. how on earth are they going to survive?)…. thought it was technically impressive and clever.. didn’t have the dialogue problems others were complaining about and was surprised that I did actually understand a fair amount of the film, though didn’t get why everyone was going back and forth in time (perhaps I understood less than I thought then)… a solid 7 or 8 out of 10…. not a classic but I’d definitely recommend going to see it.

Watched The Prestige last night. Two hours too long that film - load of ol’ shite. Bale’s cockney shit grated something awful. 4/10 and I’m being kind.

lol. I will not be attending a cinema until there is a vaccine. Hurts, but I’ve set up my living room for beastly movie watching sessions, so no loss really.

Carlito’s Way: Watched this for the first time since college, so that’s about two decades. Don’t think it’s aged very well, even though the plot is quite entertaining and tragic. Not sure I can take Al Pacino movies anymore… too much overacting. Think it’s the voice over that spoils it for me the most. Sean Penn is very good though. 7.6/10

Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Perfect Sunday evening movie. Taika Waititi’s style of comedy isn’t for everyone, but makes me laugh. 8.5 giant hairy pigs out of 10.

I very rarely watch movies to be honest, so it’s not uncommon for me to see a film for the first time years after it’s release. I watched Deadpool last night, which I thought was decent to be honest. Only my second superhero film (not planning on watching anymore) but I liked the fact that it was a parody of that genre.

It’s 100 fucking degrees here again (with wildfire air quality) and it’s impossible to move. Sett;ed on Anaconda. Jennifer Lopez looks amazing. Ice Cube doing Ice Cube stuff. A giant snake. I’d go 3/10 but given Jon Voight dies I’ll go 4/10.
