Watched Zodiac last night and really enjoyed it. Didn’t realise it was a true story and that they didn’t catch him. Not enough evidence by all accounts. Great film.

That film is amazing, especially as on paper it looks really stupid. Nearly three hours long, yet all the action happens during the first hour. And in the end nobody is much wiser who the killer was.

We’ve been trawling through lots of black & white movies on YouTube as Netflix is shocking lately.

Watched ‘The Lodger’ (1947) the other night, entertaining watch if you can keep your eyes open.

A History of Violence. 8/10. Some parts are a bit slow, but otherwise, great film imo.

Kells77 That’s a solid film. Great lead up to the ‘twist’. There was word about a sequel, wish that happened!

I enjoyed The Road too, but I’d recommend the book over the movie. Easily one of the best Armageddon stories out there.

JG is pretty kooky in Nightcrawler, I enjoyed him in that even though the movie is really uncomfortable.

Seven Psychopaths: This has just been added on Netflix India. Second time watching it, but paid a lot more attention this time. Decent movie about gangster losing his dog, with its funny moments and a monster cast. But it is a bit too bizarre. Difficult to take any of the characters seriously. Worth a watch though. 7.3/10

Not a fan of Zodiac personally. In fact, not a fan of anything featuring JG apart from Prisoners, and he even brings that down to his shitty level.

I remember liking that movie in the 90s. Not seen it since. Michael Douglas really got typecast to play the rich asshole for awhile then.

He was a much better dickhead rich guy (The Game, A Perfect Murder, Wall Street, Fatal Attraction) than he was a pseudo-everyman badass (Basic Instinct, Falling Down), even if I love the latter two. He really had his corner and nobody took it from him. Richard Gere might’ve tried, but he never had a chance.

jonattonyeah like Michael Douglas. Did you ever see Black Rain? Another enjoyable one from his canon? Also loved war of the roses. He and Kathleen Turner had great chemistry
