gcw Finally got around to seeing Oppenheimer. Obviously, a very solid film with an outstanding performance from Cillian Murphy. I did find it tough to follow all the scientists names but it didn’t detract from the experience. I’d be interested to see how much embellishment there was compared to the actual facts, I’m always wary of biopics for that very reason. A solid 8/10
Homegrove Dune Part 2 will be my first movie I go see twice in the theatre since Blade Runner 2049. For one I want to see it on the biggest screen in town, for another hopefully without annoying teenagers who were on their phones the whole movie, and for third it was just that good that I want to get into the details rather than racking my brain about stuff that’s different from the book while watching it.
rhouses Homegrove same, I did gold class with the wife. Will take dad and brother for imax. Will be easier than watching killers of the flower moon twice.
303abuser Homegrove One of my absolute favorite movies. I have the criterion version and the narration with Cameron Crowe is pretty good too.
erik Dune Part 2 Watched the first one before I went. Arguably the best sci-fi film I’ve seen in a long time. No filler, didn’t feel as long as it was. Like the first one m, it ends a bit quickly, so a third will be in the making at some point. Superb 9/10
Millsy You have, in the past, outlined your lack the attention span to sit through most films, so I would also suggest Dune is not in your wheelhouse, Ed. Out of interest, what’s your fave film of all time?
Wasily Smallman1 Millsy Out of interest, what’s your fave film of all time? Commando. You’ll be all over Beekeeper
Homegrove Road House (1989). What a gloriously fun really bad movie. “I used to fuck guys like you in prison.” Lol. Hard to say who looks better in this movie, Kelly Lunch or Sam Elliott.
