AND YOU GOT YOUR HEAD…ALL THE WAY UP IT!
LOL Vincent Hanna.
jonattonyeah Of its time, Pacino’s character comes across as a leering creep now.
Millsy That movie did have some fine women in it, a very young Charlize Theron, and my was Connie Nielsen not fine.
indeed. I actually enjoy this film and Witches of Eastwick was on a few days back too and enjoyed that in a similar vein.
Millsy
While it might be tempting for novelty’s sake, don’t do Bram Stroker’s Dracula. It is NOT good and FAR too long. The hilarity lasts about 15 minutes before it gets very, very old.
“I know where the bastard sleeps!”
Millsy also a favorite of mine, so much that I have it on Blu Ray. One of Nicholson’s best IMO. The director just let him go completely OTT.
Millsy I may take a look at that, I saw that at the cinema and wasn’t that impressed, but I was on 16. I liked all sorts of shit then.
jonattonyeah apart from Keanu there is quite a lot I love about that movie. Visually it’s held up perfectly, which is insane for a 1993-movie with lots of efx.
Along_the_Wire its hammier than Richard Hammond eating a ham sandwich in Hammersmith mate. I’m sure you’ll critique it with the usual aplomb.
C_J Yeah, that’s a great film - the lead bird in it had only been acting for 3 weeks or something daft like that before she got the role.
Got The Road with viggo mortensen lined up for tonight.
Amps The Book is excellent.
Really good film, Amps.
Amps I’ve read the book, and no way I will ever watch the movie. Too damn bleak.
Amps Enjoy mate. Top, top movie x
Dan Cheery stuff. Considering i was written in 2006, it shows incredible foresight into post Brexit Britain. Bleak indeeed.
Just finished reading no country for old men at work. Classic.
…finally got around to Inherent Vice, trippy and good fun, Joaquin watchable as ever, Katherine Waterston is just fucking lovely
Homegrove Think I have seen the beginning years ago, but thats it, never read the book, or any of his books I don’t think.
I love Cormac Mccarthy. Genius writer imho
…whatever happened to the Blood Meridian movie? been talking about it for 20+ years
Did he write the counselor? Awful film….one of Ridley’s stinkers despite the great cast.
Rambo Last Blood
Did I mention this already?
Great ending. #teamrambo
I’ve had to buy two books twice, because pages started falling out. One was Lord of the Rings, the other First Blood. If you’ve not read it, you should. It’s great.
Homegrove What? C’mon dude. It’s fucking seriously brilliant. You have to watch it.
what a book Blood Meridian is. I hope they never make a movie tbh. Can’t think of anyone to play the judge
Millsy McCarthy is an incredible writer. He can pack more imagery in a paragraph that most writers couldn’t in a whole chapter. Vincent D’Onofrio was always mentioned for The Judge with Paul Thomas Anderson to direct. I don’t think it’s unfilmable. I think studio’s are put off by the violence of it.
