seanc80 being negative about shit films and having to sit through a ton of shit art house films to find the odd gem has weighed heavily on my shoulders these past few years, forgive me Sean.

The Way Back. An awful, but strangely watchable film about a functioning alcoholic who, for some bizarre reason, is asked to coach his ex high school basketball team. Needless to say, the stupid cunt fucks it up. 4/10.

That’s more like it. There’s no room for sentiment. Absolutely no need for all the gay stuff about art there either.

Fag.

Pushed back, annoyed by the typography, but will probably watch it.

Everything after the first one are shit. Not seen the last one before this, but I have no doubt it sucks too. The second one is probably the worst movie Spielberg has done. LOVE the first one though. Still blows my mind that he did that the same year he did Schindler’s List.

I don’t really have a problem with any of them, it feels like the franchise they are yet to completely fuck up and ruin. They have all been okayish popcorn movies.

I liked the 2 newer ones. Of the first 3, the only one worth watching is the first, but I really enjoyed the new ones and I’m looking forward to the next one as well. Although I’m annoyed with all the release dates being pushed back. I get it, but I don’t like it lol

Birds of Prey. Christ that was bad. Some positives though, Margot Robbie clearly loves the character of Harley Quinn, Ewan McGregor was also having a lot of fun really hamming it up. And Justine Smollet is a smoke show.

Possessor. Near future set sfi/horror about an assassin who takes over the bodies of people to take out targets on behalf of clients. Brandon Cronenberg directed, I thought it was excellent. If you don’t like Sean Bean then you’ll enjoy what happens to him.

SM001 Something quite appealing right now about watching a film that is going to scare the crap out of me

SM001 i’m not a huge horror fan, but something with a bit of tension would be a good start.

The Tax Collector. Absolute dross and got turned off after 40 mins.

I’d put Hereditary up there as one of the modern greats in the horror genre.

The only horror film that really scared me was The Exorcist. I was only 12 or 13 but watched it whilst my parents were at work in the early 80’s. It still gives me the creeps today.
